Challenge
Rutgers University's Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) helps develop safer, more durable, and more efficient infrastructure and transportation systems. CAIT’s lead agency, SVM E-Business Solutions (SVM), came to us to redesign key templates for the new website. CAIT wanted the new design to raise their brand sophistication and build awareness among sponsors, funders, and researchers. They also needed to give their editors and department managers the ability to easily update the site content.

Solution
Working closely with the client, SVM’s team and the supplied information architecture, we created engaging, audience-focused website templates that accommodated 14 individual program sites, one for each CAIT department. Each program site serves as a key resource for visitors seeking information, technical training, support services, or collaboration with others. The new site design elevates the CAIT brand look and feel, and it’s enabled an interactive dialogue to open up with potential customers, industry and education professionals, and government officials. It also allows CAIT editors and department heads to disseminate timely information through a customized Drupal CMS developed and integrated by SVM.
